Inhouse and Travel Referees Questions and Answers 

1) Do Referees get Paid?

InHouse All ages $15 per game

Up to U14 Travel Center  $35 per game
Up to U14 Travel Line  $30 per game
Above U15 Travel Center  $40 per game
Above U15 Travel Line  $35 per game

2) What is the minimum age to be an InHouse Referee?
Anyone aged 11 or older.

3) Do i need training to be an InHouse Referee?
All referees need to attend a referee training session with Mike Crochunis (MASA Referee Coordinator).  Referee training sessions are usually held one (1) week prior to the beginning of the soccer seasons.

4) What is the minimum age to be Travel Referee
Anyone aged 14 or older is eligible to be certified as a Grade 8 Referee. Grade 8 referees are assigned to home travel games  through the referee coordinator(See https://www.wparef.com/ for more information). 

5) Do i have to pay for Travel Referee courses?
Yes, however, MASA will reimburse your training fees.
